Recording Audio

Silkwave's recording interface allows you to capture audio from multiple sources.

Audio Sources

Use the toggles at the bottom of the recording screen to select your inputs:

1. Microphone: Records external sound (your voice, meetings).
2. System Audio: Records the internal sound from your computer. This allows you to capture audio from Zoom meetings, YouTube videos, podcasts, browser tabs, and more.
3. Hybrid Mode: Toggle both switches on to capture your microphone and system audio at the same time. This is perfect for recording conversations where both sides need to be heard—such as interviews, video calls, or team meetings.

Recording Process

1. Select your desired Transcription Model (Apple Intelligence or OpenAI) from the dropdown.
2. Select the Input Language (e.g., English).
3. Click the red Start Recording button.
4. The app will begin transcribing the audio.
5. You can pause and resume the recording as needed.
