Managing Languages
Install and manage language packs for Apple Intelligence transcription.
Before you can transcribe audio in a specific language, you need to ensure that the language pack is installed on your device. Silkwave Voice uses Apple Intelligence for on-device transcription, which requires language-specific models to be downloaded.
Checking Language Status
- Open Silkwave Voice.
- Click the Configure button.
- You will see a status list of supported languages.
- If the language is "Installed": You are ready to go.
- If the language is "Not Installed": Click the download icon next to the language to install the necessary pack to your device.
Language packs are downloaded directly from Apple and stored on your device.
Supported Languages
Silkwave Voice supports the following languages for on-device transcription:
- Cantonese ðŸ‡ðŸ‡°
- Chinese 🇨🇳
- English 🇺🇸
- French 🇫🇷
- German 🇩🇪
- Italian 🇮🇹
- Japanese 🇯🇵
- Korean 🇰🇷
- Portuguese 🇵🇹
- Spanish 🇪🇸
Removing Language Packs
To free up storage space, you can remove language packs you no longer need:
- Click the Configure button.
- Find the language you want to remove.
- Click the remove icon next to the language.
