Working with Transcripts
Playback, search, and manage your recordings.
Silkwave Voice automatically transcribes your audio in near-realtime using Apple Intelligence - entirely on-device.
Viewing Transcripts
The transcript appears automatically. You can scroll through and review the full text. Each transcript segment is timestamped and linked to the corresponding audio position.
Playback & Navigation
- Audio Player: Use the controls to play, pause, or scrub through the audio.
- Auto-Scroll: Enable the auto-scroll feature to have the transcript automatically follow the current spoken sentence during playback. This makes it easy to follow along with the recording.
- Jump to Position: Click on any transcript segment to jump directly to that point in the audio.
Search
Use the text search feature (Cmd + F) to find specific keywords or phrases within the transcript. This is particularly useful for long recordings where you need to locate specific information quickly.
Copying Transcripts
- Copy All: Click the Copy button to copy the entire transcript to your clipboard for use in other apps.
- Copy Individual Segments: You can also copy individual transcript segments by clicking the copy button below the specific text.
Managing Recordings
From the sidebar, you can:
- View Recording History: See all your past recordings sorted by date.
- Rename Recordings: Give your recordings meaningful names for easy identification.
- Delete Recordings: Remove recordings you no longer need to free up space.
All transcription is performed locally on your device using Apple Intelligence. Your audio data never leaves your computer.
