Working with Transcripts
Playback and manage your recordings.
Silkwave Voice automatically transcribes your audio in near-realtime using Apple's on-device speech-to-text models - entirely local and private.
Viewing Transcripts
The transcript appears automatically. You can scroll through and review the full text. Each transcript segment is timestamped and linked to the corresponding audio position.
Playback & Navigation
- Audio Player: Use the controls to play, pause, or scrub through the audio.
- Auto-Scroll: Enable the auto-scroll feature to have the transcript automatically follow the current spoken sentence during playback. This makes it easy to follow along with the recording.
- Jump to Position: Click on any transcript segment to jump directly to that point in the audio.
Copying Transcripts
- Copy All: Click the Copy button to copy the entire transcript to your clipboard for use in other apps.
- Copy Individual Segments: You can also copy individual transcript segments by clicking the copy button below the specific text.
Managing Recordings
From the sidebar, you can:
- View Recording History: See all your past recordings sorted by date.
- Rename Recordings: Give your recordings meaningful names for easy identification.
- Delete Recordings: Remove recordings you no longer need to free up space.
All transcription is performed locally on your device using Apple's speech-to-text models. Your audio data never leaves your computer.
